On Friday, May
22, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has checked progress in the
installation of the Ukrainian-Russian state border at the checkpoint Senkivka (Chernihiv region).
The Prime
Minister has inspected engineering works, built in the first phase of the
installation of the "European Rampart" and got acquainted with the
samples of equipment and latest border guard facilities.
He recalled that
work on the construction of the state border "European Rampart" had
been launched last year. This
project, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed, "should
enable Ukraine to protect its territory first of all - from subversive groups,
Russian terrorists and bandits, from illegal border crossing, illegal
migration, weapon and drug traffic."
