Ukraine's Finance Ministry switches to state E-procurements
The Government of
Ukraine continues carrying out reform of public procurements. Electronic
tenders in public institutions will allow to save significant budget funds, as
well as to provide public access to government spending.
The Ministry of
Finance has signed contracts with electronic trading platforms for conducting e-procurements
via ProZorro system, designed to make the bidding
process as open, transparent and effective as possible.
The Finance
Ministry will conduct procurements via electronic platforms that are not subject
to the Law of Ukraine "On public procurements". This
concerns the procurement of goods worth up to UAH100,000
and services worth less
than UAH1 million.
According to the
Ministry of Finance, procurements through the e-system will allow attracting
more suppliers, which in turn will allow lowering prices and reducing
government spending.
Recall that the
Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of
Infrastructure, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Health and a number of other
government agencies Ukraine are already participating in the pilot project of
electronic public procurement.
