Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk received Minister for Foreign Affairs of Italy Paolo Gentiloni
On Wednesday, May 6, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk received
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Italy Paolo Gentiloni.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of a clear and unambiguous
position of Italy in support of Ukraine, also in the framework of the general EU
policy to counter the Russian aggression. The Ukrainian side adheres strictly
to the Minsk agreements and counts on the support of Rome to prolong political
and economic pressure on the Russian Federation in order to stop the violation by
Moscow of basic principles of international law and the commitments, stressed
Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
Moreover, the Prime Minister discussed with the Italian Foreign Minister
the prospects of attracting Italian investments, in particular in the energy
sector. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in the implementation of
investment projects in use and modernization of the energy infrastructure of
Ukraine.
