Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Overall sum of claims against Gazprom exceeds USD 16 bn
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has filed to the Stockholm arbitration court a
claim to reimburse for the losses and make changes into the transit contract
with Gazprom, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on his Facebook
page.
"Within half a year after our first sue to the arbitration court
concerning the transit contract, leading international experts and lawyers have
carried out a considerable amount of work to clearly prove that the transit
contract is unfair to Ukraine, thus, over $ 10 billion should be paid to
Naftogaz by Gazprom as compensation for the
losses," he stressed.
"Therefore,
the total amount of our claims against "Gazprom"
with regard to the contract on gas purchase and the transit contract has
already exceeded $ 16 billion", emphasized the Prime Minister.
