PM: Government allocates over UAH 7 million for the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens from Nepal

The Government of Ukraine allocates over UAH 7 million for the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens after an earthquake in Nepal. Such urgent order was signed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The Prime Minister announced that to ensure the evacuation the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be allotted UAH 360 thousand, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine - UAH 6 million 750 thousand, the State Emergency Service – UAH 280 thousand.

He commissioned the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Jaresko to ensure appropriate financing without delay.

To rescue Ukrainian citizens in Nepal there are departing there personnel of SES, specialists of the emergency medicine service, psychologists, a team of six MFA employees.

According to the recent information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 196 Ukrainian citizens remain in Nepal. 45 of these expressed a desire to leave the territory, about 60 people are missing.
