After the arriving from the fire location near ChNPP Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed: Situation is under control

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has inspects extinguish of a forest fire the exclusion zone.

After the arriving from the exclusion zone, the Head of Government told reporters at the airport that the situation is under control. Fire stations are from Chernobyl at a distance of about 20 kilometers.

“Our State emergency service actively works to cut off the spread of fire propagation”, he said.

The head of the Government stressed that three aircraft, one helicopter and a significant amount of equipment are involved in the localization of the fire: “Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are also sent to the location”.

“This fire is the largest since 1992. But we are performing our task and we will cope with. We will actively inform public too”, he stressed.

Answering the question about the radiation background Arseniy Yatsenyuk said: “I was informed that the situation is normal, there are no changes with the radiation background”.
