PM says Gov't allocated UAH882 mln to support veterans of WWII

The Government of Ukraine has allocated from the state budget UAH882 million for payments to veterans and participants of the Second World War till 8 and 9 May. Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a meeting of Organizing Committee on preparation and celebration in 2015 of the 70th anniversary of victory over Nazism in Europe and the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War on Thursday, April 16.

He noted that persons with I group disabilities and individuals with special merits before the Motherland would receive the highest financial aid - UAH2835. Moreover, assistance will also be allocated to war participants and the victims’ families.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk asked the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko and representatives of Ukrposhta to ensure allocation of funds till 8-9 May.
