Pavlo Poliansky discussed with UN representatives issue of students' rights to education in temporarily occupied territories

Deputy Minister of Education and Science Pavlo Poliansky met with UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Giovanna Barberis and representatives of the International Organization for Migration and the International Organization for Refugees. Discussion was focused on ensuring students’ rights to education in the non-governmental controlled areas.

UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Giovanna Barberis noted that it was extremely important that every child in the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea could exercise the right to education. Therefore, the center of all pragmatic decisions of the Ministry in cooperation with NGOs and international organizations should be the interests and needs of students, graduates, because safety of these children in the occupied territory of Ukraine is at risk.
