Arseniy Yatsenyuk has meeting with Angela Merkel in Berlin
On Wednesday, April 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk is staying
on a working visit to Germany. The negotiations of the Head of Ukrainian Government
with German Chancellor Angela Merkel have commenced.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk told journalists in Germany that during the meeting a
focus is to be made on a number of issues, including the implementation of the Minsk
agreement and economy projects, "those initiated by the Chancellor to support
Ukraine".
In particular, they will discuss signing of documents to ensure implementation
of the German government programme “worth EUR 500 million to facilitate
economic stabilization in Ukraine”: "We expect that German business circles
will be invited to participate in this program, as out of this sum amounting
500 million euros 200 million will be sent to the
State budget and 300 million to infrastructure development and economic
projects".
Besides, Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed he would raise an issue of attracting
investors from the EU and the U.S. to jointly upgrade and use the Ukrainian
GTS.
In the framework of his visit to Berlin Arseniy Yatsenyuk took the floor
at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung foundation meeting and held a meeting with
representatives of German business circles.
