Public report of Government about one hundred days of activity taking place

"The Government, together with the Parliamentary coalition and the President of Ukraine, has created a single team, which faced unprecedented challenges for the country and is operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week," said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Thursday, March 12, during a public report of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about one hundred days of their activities.

The Prime Minister noted that this day there would be presented a report about one hundred days of work by "the new Government formed under the new Constitution, guided by new principles and is doing a very difficult job in an extremely hard situation within the country".

He reminded that after amending the Constitution of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers is a collective political authority, "If before it had been appointed by the President of Ukraine, now the Cabinet of Ministers is appointed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, by the coalition of the five parliamentary factions".

Arseniy Yatsenyuk explained that each Government member had been suggested by the political coalition forces and supported by five parliamentary factions that comprise the European choice coalition - Petro Poroshenko Bloc, the People’s Front, the Self Reliance, Oleh Lyashko’s Radical Party and the Batkivshchyna all-Ukrainian Union.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed gratitude to all members of the Cabinet of Ministers, "each member of the united European team", "You took a very responsible decision in your life - to join the struggle for our independence, for a new Ukraine, for our freedom, for reforms and changes in the country".

Apart from that, the Head of the Government evaluated the role of the coalition of parliamentary factions, "Despite the fact that in some cases the members of the parliamentary coalition don’t demonstrate support for the members who represent them in the Government - we have unity, we have an opportunity to adopt necessary laws and an understanding within the parliamentary coalition”.

"The current Government with the parliamentary coalition and the President of Ukraine established a united team. The team, who faced unprecedented challenges for the country, who are working 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we are doing everything in our power to finance the army, to stabilize the economy, to carry out reforms in all spheres of life of Ukrainians, to execute the Agreement on European integration and to fight together for our future - the future of each Ukrainian citizen in particular and our state in whole", stressed the Prime Minister.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed following today's report of the Cabinet of Ministers each member of the Government would within two weeks hold a press conference to report about a hundred days of activity of a particular ministry, "Every member of the Cabinet of Ministers will provide a detailed presentation and detailed answers to questions that concern the Ukrainian society".
