Aivaras Abromavicius met with Ambassador of the Netherlands Rene Klompenhouwer
Now deregulation
is the main priority not only for the Ministry of Economic Development, but
also for the Ukraine’s Government in general. This
was stressed by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius during a
meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands to Ukraine Kees

The Minister
informed the Ambassador of the ongoing situation in the country, stressing that
our state is facing important challenges and – to simultaneously stabilize the
economic situation and to counteract the current armed conflict in Eastern
Ukraine. Aivaras
Abromavicius briefed René Klompenhouwer about implementation of a number of reforms, in
particular regarding deregulation and the ease of doing business.
"Every ministry
has to deal with two major reforms stipulated in the IMF. Regarding
our ministry, this is deregulation, reform of state enterprises, government
procurement, restructuring the Ministry, promoting exports and attracting
investment," Aivaras Abromavicius
said.
