Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Government allocates UAH 300 to compensate interest rate for agrarian sector
In amendments to the
Law on the State Budget, the Government of Ukraine planned to allocate UAH 300
million to reimburse interest rates for the agricultural area. Prime Minister
of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced at the meeting of the Government of the
Ukraine on Saturday, February 14.
"If we earn more,
we’ll give more. In the meantime, for the first stage of sowing - UAH 300
million. This will afford to raise up to 5 billion hryvnyas
of loans with considerable interest compensation", stressed the Prime
Minister.
"Now it is the
sowing campaign ahead but interest rates are high. We will partially offset the
interest rate on loans for those who are working in the agricultural area, who will
be actively engaged in development of one of the core economic sectors of
Ukraine – an agricultural area", he urged.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded
that previous year the agricultural domain had demonstrated a 16% growth,
"I believe in 2015 one of the basic sectors of the Ukrainian economy, an
agricultural sector, will demonstrate further growth".
