Arseniy Yatsenyuk appeals to RSA heads with a demand to start each morning with operational meeting with security agencies
Prime Minister of
Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has commissioned the heads of regional state
administrations (RSA) to summon daily operational meetings involving members of
law enforcement agencies to coordinate the work to ensure the safety of
citizens and infrastructure objects. He said during a teleconference with heads
of regional state administrations at the Government’s House on Friday, January
23.
The Head of
Government stressed that the RSA heads, who by law direct civil defence in relevant
territories, should switch to the daily operational
mode of work.
“As the chief of civil defence, I demand that every day each
administration’s head, chairman of local militia, head of Security Service,
head of a local unit of State Emergency Service, head of a strategic enterprise
situated on your territory should gather an operational meeting in order to
coordinate work on ensuring security of the civilians and infrastructure objects
in each separate region,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.
"It is your responsibility under the law, and therefore I ask to
take appropriate orders by the heads
of regional state administrations," he addressed the chairmen of regional state administrations.
"The maximum concentration, maximum mobilization and responsibility. Every morning you must begin with a prompt
meeting with security agencies. Involving into it also emergency services, healthcare
departments and the strategic enterprises that operate in your region", emphasized
Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
The meeting was
attended by Chairman of the National Security and Defense
Council Oleksandr Turchynov,
Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaychenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, Chairman of the
State Emergency Service of Ukraine Serhii Bochkovsky, First deputy commander of the National Guard of
Ukraine, chief of staff Olexandr Kryvenko, heads of
regional state administrations, leaders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Security
Service of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service in the regions.
