On January 20, Vice Prime Minister, Culture Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko held a
meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Shigeki Sumi at the Government’s House.
Vyacheslav Kyrylenko thanked Shigeki Sumi for the firm position of Japan on the
situation in Crimea and eastern Ukraine. The Ambassador of Japan noted that his
country is ready to provide Ukraine with comprehensive support in humanitarian,
diplomatic and economic spheres in the future.
The
parties also discussed deepening of Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation in the
humanitarian area and implementation of joint cultural projects.
