Yurii Prodan met with Vice-President of European Commission, Commissioner for Energy Guenther Oettinger

On October 20, Kyiv hosted bilateral consultations of Minister of Energy and Coal Industryhttp://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gif of Ukraine Yurii Prodan and Vice-President of European Commission, Commissioner for Energy Günther Oettinger. At the event were also present Head of EU Delegation, Ambassador Jan Tombinski, head of Naftogaz board Andrii Kobolev.

In the course of the meeting Minister Yurii Prodan briefed the EU party on the process and results of the negotiations that took place in Milan.

Günther Oettinger emphasized readiness of the European Commission to further contribute to solving a gas issue. The sides discussed principal provisions of an interim agreement on deliveries of natural gas from the territory of the Russian Federation, to be discussed at the upcoming trilateral meeting on October 21 in Brussels.

Yurii Prodan and Günther Oettinger confirmed readiness to promote active cooperation to ensure energy security of Ukraine and countries of the European Union.
