Ostap Semerak: An institution of Business Ombudsman will be set up in Ukraine

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak informed that there will be set up an office of Business Ombudsman in Ukraine. "We have reached full understanding with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which also sees as one of the main goals the development of small and medium business and curbing corruption. The result of cooperation between the Government and the EBRD is signing of a joint initiative to combat corruption”.

We have established a tripartite group comprising representatives of the EBRD, the Government and the Ukrainian business associations. Now the process of formation of such an institution of Business Ombudsman sees its final stage, it is planned to finance by the EBRD. A legislative framework is being elaborated to regulate the authority and functions of this body," said the Minister in an interview with the information agency "Glavkom".
