Weapons and military equipment from the warehouses of the Defence Ministry to be delivered to ATO within 48 hours - Government's decision

In connection with the delays in execution of numerous orders of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, on Tuesday, August 26, an urgent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was summoned to adopt the following decisions:

1. to hand over weapons and military equipment from the warehouses of the Defence Ministry to cover the needs of the army, the National Guard and armed forces personnel who participate in anti-terrorist operations, immediately - within 48 hours after submission of an application by ATO commanders;

2. to hold immediate repair and upgrading, without additional approvals and permits, of all military equipment of 3-4 categories, which belongs to the Ministry of Defence and is stored in the production facilities of the state-owned concern "Ukroboronprom";

3. the Defence Ministry and the National Guard must immediately purchase all the military equipment, which is manufactured by "Ukroboronprom" and stored in the company’s warehouses, and immediately deliver it to the war zone.

Besides, on the approved by the Cabinet decision there has been purchased helicopters to cover the needs of the soldiers in ATO area.
