Cargo of ICRC confirmed to be humanitarian aid

The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Liudmyla Denisova signed a decree on the recognition of a cargo of the International Committee of the Red Cross the humanitarian aid.

"Pursuant to articles 4 and 5 of the Law of Ukraine "On the humanitarian aid" taking into account the initiative of the President of Ukraine P. Poroshenko regarding the receipt of humanitarian assistance in the framework of an international humanitarian mission under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross to recognize the cargo as humanitarian assistance according to the enclosure," reads the document.

A list with the goods included into the humanitarian aid cargo was received by the Ministry of Social Policy today, on August 16, signed by the head of the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross for the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova Pascal Cuttat. According to the list the humanitarian cargo consists the following goods:

beef stew;

rice;
buckwheat;
salt;
refined sugar;
condensed milk;
tea;
bottled water;
baby food;
medicines not containing narcotic and toxic substances;
power stations;
sleeping bags.









Overall 12 items with the total weight 1856.3 tons.

The recipient of humanitarian aid is the mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross of Ukraine. The cargo will be transported by the ICRC in Ukraine through the checkpoint "Donetsk", the letter says.
