Trucks with humanitarian cargo are being unloaded in Donbas

Columns of trucks with essential commodities from Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk to residents in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, who are on the territories controlled by terrorists, have already arrived to the city of Starobilsk in Luhansk region. The trucks with humanitarian aid, which left Kyiv, are expected to be at the destination at about 10:00.

At the moment continues unloading of the trucks with food products and essential goods arrived from Kharkiv. The convoy from Dnipropetrovsk is waiting for its turn. After unloading, all the goods will pass through a thorough inspection by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The ICRC shall distribute this aid among civilians in Donetsk and Luhansk regions who are on territories controlled by terrorists.

The list of essential goods sent to Donbas includes food products (vegetables, cereals, sugar, flour, sunflower oil, canned meat and fish, honey, tea), water, medical supplies, hygiene products, children’s products, etc.

As reported, on behalf of the Government of Ukraine on August 14 71 the trucks with up to 800 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to citizens of eastern Ukraine from Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk.

The day before, on August 13, the Government adopted a decree on the acquisition of essential goods for civilians in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, who are on the territories controlled by terrorists. The State Emergency Service has been allocated additional UAH10 million from the reserve fund of the State budget.
