The situation at the Ukrainian-Russian border within Luhansk and Donetsk regions is still complex. Border guards continue carrying out tasks on protection and defense of the state border. Artillery attacks on positions of border guard units are continuing.

Between 08.35 p.m. and 09.45 p.m. (11.08.14), the artillery attack on positions of border guard unit was performed on the axis of settlements Voloshyno (Russia) – Krasna Talivka (Ukraine). The fire was executed from Russian territory. 40 artillery attacks were performed.

Between 08.50 p.m. and 11.30 p.m. (11.08.14), the attempt of destroying border block post was performed near settlement Kamysheve. The block post was fired with artillery. Bombardment on the axis of settlements “Manotskyi” (Russia) – Kamysheve (Ukraine) was performed from the territory of Russian Federation.

From 02.50 a.m. to 03.30 a.m. (12.08.14), the BCP “Uspenka” (Donetsk region) and surrounding territory was attacked with massive mortar fire. Terrorists and Russian mercenaries performed about 150 shots. As a result of bombardment, the building of border crossing point and communications lines were damaged. There were no injuries.

At 02.00 p.m. (11.08.14), terrorists using small arms tried to destroy the vehicle “UAZ”, which during serving at the area of “Bilovodsk” border crossing division (Luhansk border guard detachment) was returning to place of permanent deployment of the unit. Militaries opened fire in response, there were no injuries.

The infringements of aerial space of Ukraine by aircrafts of Armed Forces of Russian Federation continue to be in evidence:

At 02.25 a.m. (11.08.14), border patrol detected the flight of unnamed aircraft vehicle near BCP “Krasna Talivka” (Luhansk region). The UAV entered the Ukrainian territory (for 2 km) at the height of about 2 km, and returned back later.

At 09.30 (11.08.14), border patrol of “Milove” border guard division (Luhansk region) on the axis of settlements Chortkovo (Russia) – Milove (Ukraine) detected the flight of 1 Mi-24, which violated the airspace of Ukraine at the height 200 m .
