The team of international experts has announced that the MH17 recovery mission completes the first phase of the search for Boeing-777 wreckage and victims’ bodies because of the situation related to terrorist provocations that are threatening the safety of experts who worked at the crash site.

There are still three local zones with the debris that haven’t been searched yet.

In the near future, the experts will discuss the prospects for a possible time to start the second phase of the recovery work.

Before deciding to continue the search the most of experts will leave Ukraine. Only a few experts will stay for communication and coordination.

It is agreed with the experts of the recovery mission that a ceasefire regime in the zone of the accident, established by the President of Ukraine in accordance with the request of international experts, strictly adhering by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will be invalid until the beginning of the second phase of the investigation.
