Statement of the MFA of Ukraine on shelling of the territory of Ukraine and its units of Armed Forces with Grad rocket-systems, located on the territory of the RF

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has repeatedly stated with deep concern and indignation on the direct participation of the Russian Federation in the escalation of the situation in the East of Ukraine.

The evidence that this participation has long ago crossed a line of just military-technical, financial and information support of gunmen, who commit terror in our state, is series of facts of shelling of ATO forces from the territory of the Russian Federation by units of its armed forces.

Another irrefutable proof of direct involvement of Russia in murder of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians is a video of bombing with reactive Grad rocket-systems of the territory of Ukraine that was held from a firing-point near Gukovo town of Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

This fact cannot be regarded differently, as the act of aggression, which is a gross violation of the universally recognized principles of international law and international crime; it requires urgent resolute condemnation from the side of the entire international community and coordinated action to deter the aggressive plans of Russia.

We call on international community to assess actions of the Russian Federation, which is not only a threat to the territorial integrity of Ukraine and its citizens, but also to international peace and security.
