Ostap Semerak: Government approves payment of pensions to Crimeans
The Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the order of payment of pensions and
provision of social services to citizens of Ukraine residing on the temporarily
occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol and wishing to receive a pension
under the legislation of Ukraine.
On July 2, Ostap Semerak said this at a
briefing in the House of Government following a meeting of the Cabinet of
Ministers.
As noted Ostap Semerak, the Resolution "On approval of the order of payment of pensions and provision of
social services to citizens of Ukraine residing on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol" approved the procedure of the calculation with the citizens of Ukraine regarding their pensions and social benefits through post office orders.
The
Minister noted that this procedure prevents getting two pensions simultaneously
- Russian and Ukrainian ones.
"The
Government of Ukraine, as promised, continues to make every effort to ensure the rights of Ukrainian citizens in the temporarily occupied territories," emphasized the
official.
According
to the Minister, the Government has also ordered the procedure of registration
of property rights to immovable property located on the temporarily occupied
territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, by adopting a Resolution on “State
registration of rights to immovable property located in the temporarily
occupied territory”.
The
registration of rights and commitment of all other actions in respect of immovable property located in the temporarily occupied territories is entrusted to the state registrations of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.
