PM sends an ad hoc commission to the ATO area to control the use of funds allocated by the Government on national security and defense

Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk sends an ad hoc government commission to the anti-terrorist operation area to investigate the situation of material and technical provision, medical and social security of Ukrainian troops involved in the ATO, the PM said at a Cabinet’s meeting on Wednesday, July 2.

“Today I’ve made a decision to send to the ATO area an ad hoc commission from representatives of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Social Policy, Ministry of Health, State Financial Inspection with a view to reporting me directly by telephone about the use of billions of funds provided by the Government of Ukraine on national security and defense”, said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The Commission shall submit an appropriate report within three days.

The Prime Minister said the First Deputy Minister of Defense suspended from his duties, "We will take personnel decisions, which are to be announced in addition."

Also, according to Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Government will consider an issue of the introduction of chaplain service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. "That’s for maintaining fighting spirit, faith, faith in our victory."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to representatives of all confessions to support the Ukrainian army and Ukrainian troops. “God is with us and thus the victory”, said the Prime Minister.
