The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Regional Development, Building, Housing and Communal Services Volodymyr Hroysman announced during his trip to Zhytomyr region.

“The Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk commissioned to study the issue of providing housing solutions for the families of those who died in the combat operations, those who were registered for improved housing conditions. Such activity is being conducted and the Government will find the solutions to providing the needy families with accommodation,” Volodymyr Hroysman explained. According to him, nowadays a number of departments, in particular, the Defense Ministry and the Interior Ministry have been studying the amount, composition and living conditions of such families.

Volodymyr Hroysman noted that the question would be solved, notably, for the families of the three soldiers of Jaguar special subdivision, deployed in Vinnytsia region, who died in the result of terrorist acts, and also with regards to other regions.

The Vice Prime Minister reminded that in May during an exit meeting of the Government in Vinnytsia, the Defense Ministry and the Nations Guards had received certificates for 9 flats.

“Five flats were distributed by the Defense Ministry among the families of militarymen who died. Some of the flats were purchased at the primary housing market in Vinnytsia, the other – at the secondary market, but with turnkey repair. The certificates for another four flats, one and two-room flats were handed over to the Guard soldiers,” he informed.

Volodymyr Hroysman called on local authorities as well, notably, municipal, regional, district, village councils to provide comprehensive assistance to the families of those who suffered from terrorist acts in Eastern Ukraine.

He informed on May 30 people’s deputies of Vinnytsia municipal council had amended the Program of social protection of certain categories of citizens with their decision and envisaged in it material assistance worth UAH 25 thousand from the local budget to those militarymen who became a victim during combat operations, UAH 100 thousand - to each family of those who died.

“This decision regards not only the residents of Vinnytsia. A similar decision could have been taken by Vinnytsia regional council towards Jaguar soldiers, whose subdivision is deployed in Vinnytsia region,” Volodymyr Hroysman said.
