Andrii Deshchytsia: Ukraine appreciates contribution of Ukrainian expatriates into consolidation of world community in supporting our country

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Deshchytsia met with President of the Ukrainian World Congress Yevhen Choliy, Secretary General of the Ukrainian World Congress Stefan Romaniw, President of the Ukrainian Congress of Canada Paul Grod and President of UWC Youth Organizations Myroslav Hochak. In the meeting was also participating Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danylo Lubkivsky.

The interlocutors focused on the issues of coordination of efforts directed to the support of our state, specifically in connection with the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Y. Choliy informed about the international activities of the leaders of the Ukrainian World Congress in this direction.

“The situation which occurred in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion should be considered in a wider context, as it poses the threat to the peace and stability in the whole world,” Y. Choliy emphasized.

The UWC delegation was informed about the successful steps of the state’s leaders in order to ensure de-escalation of the conflict in the eastern regions of Ukraine, approaching Ukraine with the EU and introducing reforms complying with the European standards.

The MFA Head highly evaluated the contribution made by the Ukrainian expats in the area of consolidation of international support, particularly, with regards to the issues of territorial integrity, sovereignty and European choice of Ukraine.
