On May 29 Kyiv will host events on the occasion of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers
On May 29 Ukraine
will celebrate the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers.
On this
occasion at 9.00 a.m. in Kyiv will start the ceremony of wreaths-laying to a
memorable stone in the UN Alley of the Navodnitsky
Park (between the Paton bridge and the monument to the
founders of Kyiv).
The event will be
attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of
the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participants of peacekeeping operations, public
representatives, servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A series of
events are scheduled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with support of public
authorities, local self-government, veteran and public organizations to pay
tribute to servicemen and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine serving in UN
international peacekeeping operations.
