Air Force of AFU and Multinational inspection group of Sweden consider security cooperation
On May 26, in Vinnytsya
a working meeting with representatives of the Multinational inspection group of
the Kingdom of Sweden headed by the Colonel Carl Paranaque (Carol Paraniak) took place under chairmanship of the head of headquarters, First
Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Major General Artur Artemenko.
The issues included into the agenda concerned
realization of the Vienna document provisions in the part of security
cooperation. In particular, this document envisages certain restriction of
military activity, compulsory demonstration of new samples of principal
armament systems and military machinery received as armament for the armed
forces of the participating states.
The parties analyzed development of
bilateral contacts in military domain in conventional arms control, discussed the
current situation with military activity in cantonments of military units of
the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the end of the trip the members
of the Multinational inspection group of Sweden paid a visit to the branch of
the National Military and Historical Museum of Ukraine, the Air Force Museum.
