The victims of mass public protest rallies and their family members will receive free legal assistance. The relevant order was signed by the Justice Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko.

“Those people who at a very high cost in terms of their own health and life gained free, democratic Ukraine, have to receive relevant legal protection from the country. Today I have signed a commission which stipulates that such assistance will be provided to each victim of Maidan events and families of the Heavenly Hundred,” Pavlio Petrenko stressed.

In particular, it concerns free primary legal assistance provided by justice bodies such as consultations and explanations, mediation, drawing up allegations, charges etc. of legal nature. Besides, the state notary offices shall provide free services in terms of legalization of inheritance.

The Minister commissioned to ensure providing such assistance as top-priority service in the work of community liaison offices in cooperation with the state notary offices.

In addition, if the mentioned categories appeal in non-public days or hours, heads of local justice bodies should take certain measures to provide the abovementioned assistance.
