Ostap Semerak: Government wants to "reach out" each citizen including those living in the East

The Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Ostap Semerak held a meeting with the delegation of Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The interlocutors discussed readiness of Ukraine to hold the presidential elections due on May 25 and anti-crisis reforms as well.

“The presidential elections appear the most significant task now. Today the Prime Minister emphasized the Government pays every effort to ensure the right to vote for each Ukrainian citizen,” the top official told to the foreign guests.

“The voters possess the right and have an opportunity to support in the elections the candidates of the political forces to their liking. In the electoral process everyone is provided with sufficient information. The CEC [Central Election Commission] is the proper tool of holding the elections and it has met all the time frames envisaged by the law,” the official stressed.

The Minister Ostap Semerak emphasized the Government continues an active dialog with Ukrainian society through the National roundtables and visiting Government’s sessions. “This week the Government will hold its session in one of the regional centers and will gather another roundtable,” Ostap Semerak informed. “The Government wants to “reach out” each citizen including those living in the East, as we are the Government of our citizens,” the Ministers stressed.
