First Vice Prime Minister met with veterans in the House of Government

On May 7, the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitalii Yarema met with veterans – former employees of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the occasion of the Victory Day celebrations.

Vitalii Yarema congratulated all the attendees on the holiday and wished veterans strong health and long life. He noted that the Victory had been achieved at great cost of life and thanked the veterans for their deed which would always remain in the memory of future generations. Speaking about the current difficult situation in Ukraine Vitalii Yarema stressed that “terrible lessons of World War II teach us to unite in order to face the modern threats”. He expressed belief that only joining efforts “we will be able to efficiently counteract terrorism and crimes”.

In turn, speaking on behalf of the war veterans Volt Dubov thanked the Government for the support and attention and told about those hard times the veterans-heroes had had to live and work at and how plain their life had been.
