SBS introduces new mark to deny entry to Ukraine

Due to the measures taken to ensure national security and targeting to prevent entry to the territory of Ukraine by radically-minded individuals, who cross the state border and can possibly participate in anti-Ukrainian rallies, the State Border Service (SBS) introduces a new mark.

On the initiative of the border department the existing forms of marks that are fixed in the document another mark is added “Denied of entry to Ukraine”.

The mark will be placed in passports or other documents of foreign citizens or persons without citizenship, who, on a grounded decision of the authorized person, an employee of the protective body of the state border, were refused of crossing via the state border to enter Ukraine’s territory in an order envisaged by the current legislation.

The innovation will afford to faster identify persons who were denied of entry via the state border and prevent their repeated attempts to enter Ukraine’s territory. At this, a decision on establishing legal grounds for crossing the state border shall be adopted taking into account the previous case of denial of entry to the territory of Ukraine.
