Olexandr Sych studies problems of education and healthcare in Rivne region

April 28-29, 2014, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Sych has been staying on a working trip to Rivne region. The top official paid principal attention to
the areas of education and healthcare in the course of his visit.

Thus, on
April 28 Olexandr Sych attended the National University
“Ostroh Academy” where he communicated to the
leaders and educationalists of the higher educational institution and met
with the students. In communication with the student community the top
official raised a wide circle of topics – starting from celebration of
prominent historical dates and ending with the principles of patriotic education
of youth, the role of self-education in formation of personality, principal
grounds of reforming the educational area in Ukraine. “In particular, the new
law on higher education which is to be approved in the second reading, will
give to the educational institutions an opportunity to be more independent in
solving of the economic and administrative issues,” he stressed. Moreover,
the Vice Prime Minister emphasized the importance of a system humanitarian
policy in present conditions. “I am often said today it is not the proper
time to think about books and humanitarian area in whole, as there is war in
the country. Nevertheless, under the present conditions we should continue
upbringing our youth. Generally, under conditions of the total informational
war the culture, education, humanitarian policy should be paid the largest attention,”
Olexandr Sych noted. The Vice
Prime Minister paid separate attention to the problems of healthcare domain. So,
on April 28 Olexandr Sych chaired a meeting with representatives
of local authorities, healthcare facilities and the community and discussed
in details acute issues of medical service rendered to liquidators of the consequences
of the Chornobyl NPP accident and victims of the Chornobyl catastrophe. On April
29, the top official is to visit Rokytnivska
central district hospital. |
