Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with U.S. Congressmen
On Wednesday,
April 23, Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk
met with a delegation of the U. S. Congress, led by Chairman of the House Committee
on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk took note of an active assistance that the U.S.
provided in order to stabilize the situation in Ukraine. It
has been informed of the practical steps taken by the Ukrainian Government towards
the implementation of the Geneva agreements of April 17. In
this context, the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed the importance of a strong
international response to the continuation of the Russian Federation’s policy
of aggression against Ukraine.
They also
discussed the possibility of support from the U.S. Congress, the expansion of
US-Ukrainian cooperation in the economic and energy sectors.
