Governmental decision: Every family of those who died in Skochynsky mine accident shall receive UAH 100 thousand, those who were injured – UAH 50 thousand

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall allocate UAH 1 million 150 thousand as an assistance to those who died or suffered in the Skochynsky mine accident. A respective order was submitted for considering by the Government the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Friday, April 11.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that pursuant to the document every person who suffered from the blast at the mine would be allotted UAH 50 thousand, every family of those who died – UAH 1000 thousand. 

The decision was approved unilaterally. 

Moreover, the Head of the Government addressed the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the Minister of Internal Affairs: “Immediate checks and finding those guilty for causing death. There is certain information about violation of safety rules, so everyone guilty will be answerable”.
