Andrii Deshchytsia and Sergey Lavrov have telephone talk

A telephone conversation of acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Deshchytsia with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov on the initiative of the Ukrainian side was held.

In the context escalation by pro-Russian forces in some cities of the eastern regions of the state the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry declared undue external interference in the affairs of Ukraine and urged the Russians to enforce prior agreements on de-escalation of the security situation around the Ukrainian border.

It was discussed protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the unacceptability of force or any forms of coercion, which is now experiencing our countrymen.

The parties have agreed to hold a meeting and to continue the dialogue.
