Liudmyla Denisova: No forced migrant from Crimea will be left without attention

The Ministry of Social Policy has organized the activity of central and local authorities on social support of citizen and families who leave the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city and migrated to other regions for a temporary residence. This was started by Minister of Social Policy Liudmyla Denisova speaking in the Verkhovna Rada.

The Minister said that the Government’s telephone hotline has been opened. Information about hotline is spreading through the media, posted at railway stations and in cars that run to Crimea. "As of March 24, about 3000 people appealed to the Government Contact Center, and in particular over 1240 calls were from Crimea. Every sixth address causes the issue of resettlement and housing," the Minister highlighted.

In addition, according to the Minister, special hotlines under state administrations have been set.

"The work of subordinated social services on providing with assistance and payment of benefits to citizens at the new place of residence is organized. It is simplified the procedure for receiving pension, insurance benefits through social insurance funds," Liudmyla Denisova said. She also stressed that the Ministry of Social Policy is ready to offer 55000 jobs in Ukraine for forced migrants.

The Minister also informed on the numerous appeals of citizens and legal entities, which are willing to provide financial support to immigrants. "Today, at a session of the Government to be passed a decision on opening accounts for transferring of charitable funds to such citizens," - she said.
