First meetings of Governmental Committees are on this week

The first meetings of Governmental Committees of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine are on Thursday and Friday, March 27-28. This was started by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak at the conciliatory meeting on Monday, March 24.

Addressing MPs, the Minister noted that under the Cabinet’s regulation on the establishment of governmental committees, MPs also have the right to participate in them in a consultative capacity.

"I hope it will enable the Government and Parliament together to make better decisions," the Minister Ostap Semerak said.

He informed that four governmental committees will be held on March 27-28.

The work of governmental committees is aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of powers of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the coordination between authorities, preliminary consideration of draft legal acts, the key areas of public policy and other documents that are submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers consideration.

As it was reported by the Department of Information and Communication of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, it was set: a Social and Economic Development and International Cooperation Committee (chairman – the Prime Minister of Ukraine), a Governmental Committee on Defense, a Military-Industrial Complex and Law Enforcement Committee (chairman - the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine), a Regional Development Committee (chairman - Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine), Humanitarian Development Committee (chairman - Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine).

Ministers or their deputies, heads of central executive bodies, deputies in an advisory capacity, authorized representatives of national trade unions and associations of employers are involved in the activity of Governmental Committees.
