Acting at Ukraine’s
request, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe decided to
send a military observer mission to our country. The importance of sending such
a mission was highlighted yesterday, on March 4, at a joint meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council and the Forum for Security
Co-operation in Vienna.
The observation mission
includes representatives of the 21 OSCE member–countries
such as France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey,
Canada, UK, USA and others. The OSCE Secretariat’s Conflict
Prevention Centre experts will also join this mission.
The visit will
take place on March 5 to 12 within the framework of the response mechanisms
under the OSCE Vienna Document.
