Arsenii Yatseniuk: Preparation process to receive financial support by the USA has been launched

“The process of preparation to receiving financial support rendered by the USA to Ukraine has been started in fact,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk declared during a briefing on the outcomes of a meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday, March 4.

He noted the details of this aid would be announced “after we have finally put our signatures under the real amount of the economic assistance, the USA is ready to allot to Ukraine”.

Moreover, the Premier emphasized the USA were actively advocating the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine: “All those events happening on the territory of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea arise rigid and explicit response on the part of our western partners”. He reminded about a sitting of the UNO Security Council held “where the UN Security Council members haven’t just stated their concern, but clearly stressed there are no reasons for Russia, by violating a series of bilateral agreements, starting from the Large Agreement of 1997 and ending with Budapest memorandum, to garrison the troops on the territory of the independent and sovereign state”.

“We call on the Russian government and the Russian president once again to immediately stop the military aggression on Ukraine’s territory,” Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed.
