Arsenii Yatseniuk meets with OSCE mission

On March 4 Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk met with Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Timm Guldimann.

The parties discussed the current situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Timm Guldimann informed about yesterday’s consultations of the OSCE in Vienna and emphasized the OSCE intended to be “deeper engaged in settlement of the situation in Crimea”.

Arsenii Yatseniuk has said he advocates OSCE intentions and efforts directed to solving the situation in Crimea.  

In turn, the OSCE mission members have stressed any steps to settle the issue might be made, guided by the international legislation.

The meeting also dealt with considering the language issue in Ukraine. The mission’s members stated their support of elaborating a new language legislation by the Ukrainian Government.
