Arsenii Yatseniuk confirms that Turchynov has not approved repealing of "Language Law"

Oleksandr Turchynov has not signed a low “On the Repeal of the Law of Ukraine “On the Principles of State Language Policy” passed on the February 23. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatsenyuk said during a meeting with the EBA.

Arsenii Yatseniuk explained that currently the law “On the Principles of State Language Policy” in the edition of 2012, proposed that time by the Party of Regions is in effect.

“Whether this law is good or bad it is other story. My suggestion is to have deal with languages, with history later. We will find it when save the country,"- he said, answering the question of participants of the meeting about what the new government is doing to retain the unity of the country and what steps does it make to be close with the residents of the South and East.

Arsenii Yatseniuk informed that the heads of regional state administrations in the Eastern regions were appointed persons who do not belong to political parties of the coalition, but represent the regions, and they can sway: "It was a very important step in order to calm the situation."

As the Prime Minister noted, the Government composition is also represented by people from different regions. There are several members of the Cabinet of Ministers from the East and the Crimea, "They will represent interests the regions."
