Arsenii Yatseniuk meets with V4 foreign ministers

On February 28, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk held a meeting with foreign ministers of the Visegrád Group.  

The parties discussed the political situation in Ukraine. Our country faces difficult and responsible time, however, the Government is maintaining control over the situation and will do everything to remove the strain within the country, Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed.

Representatives of the Visegrád Group expressed readiness to help to the new Ukrainian Government to overcome the financial turmoil in Ukraine.

Moreover, the interlocutors considered the development of events in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The V4 foreign ministers expressed concern regarding the events in the peninsula.

My position, as the Prime Minister of Ukraine, is to solve the problem exceptionally in a political way, Arsenii Yatseniuk highlighted.

After the meeting the ministers of foreign affairs of the Visegrád Group flew to Donetsk to express support of the unity of Ukraine.

The delegation of the European Union, in particular, comprised of EU Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Tombiński, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lubomír Zaoralek, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Slovakia to Ukraine Juraj Sivacek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary János Martonyi, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Mihal Bayer, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine Henrik Litvin.
