On February 25,
Minister of Finance of Ukraine Yuriy Kolobov met with representatives of the U.S. Department of
the Treasury Dalip Singh and Elizabeth Berry and Senior
Director at National Security Council Rory MacFarquhar.
During the meeting Yuriy Kolobov noted that in this
difficult time of trial for Ukraine
the Ministry of Finance has not stopped his work and continues to work around
the clock to fulfill its tasks. Today’s continuous operation of the Ministry aimed
on the compliance with the schedule on the implementation of both internal and
external payment obligations of Ukraine.
He also informed that there are the positive market reactions on statements of U.S. financial institutions and the EU Member
States about their readiness to provide financial assistance to Ukraine.
By turn, Rory MacFarquhar positively evaluated the work of the Ministry
of Finance of Ukraine to
ensure the fulfillment of its tasks under difficult conditions in Ukraine.
According to him, the beginning of a dialogue with the IMF and other international
organizations will create the necessary conditions for a peaceful entering Ukraine
to foreign financial markets.

expressed gratitude for the trust and support from the United States, and assured on the readiness of
the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine
for the speedy implementation of the necessary reforms in order to maintain status
of responsible and reliable payer of debts.
