electric train. As a result of this tragedy 12 people died including one

investigation is on. All the victims received necessary medical assistance.

Now his state is satisfactory. On the data of the State Emergency Service in Sumy region during the
accident there were 19 people (18 passengers and a driver) in the route bus
and 163 people in the train. The passengers of the train weren’t injured. All
of them were transported to Vorozhba by another electric
train at 16:10. On the information of the leaders of the Pivdennah
railway there were not revealed any violations on the part of the electric
train driver. He started an emergency braking as a response to the situation 50
meters before. According to the Prosecutor’s Office of Sumy region the preliminary
version of the reasons of the accident is that the driver of the route bus
didn’t stop to the warning sound and light semaphore signal. According to the
victims the passengers had warned the driver about the approaching train but
he decided to jump the lights, which proves that principal stroke was caused
to the rear of the vehicle. |
