H. Temnyk commissions to resume heating supplies in Crimea as fast as possible

In two villages of Saky area of the AR of Crimea as a result of damaging the power lines 10 boiler houses don’t operate and there remained without heating 9 schools and 7 kindergardens. The educational process has been suspended temporarily, the schools and kindergardens have days off. The operative dispatcher service of the Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services informed.

The Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services Hennadiy Temnyk commissioned the specialists of the region to immediately get to the place of accident and control the course of repair works. The task of the head of the Ministry is to liquidate the consequences of the harsh weather and restore heating supplies as fast as possible.

In Kyiv as a result of damaging of the heating systems 4 residential buildings have been left without heating. The Kyiv municipal state administration reports by the end of the day the heating supplies will be restored.

 The operative dispatcher service of the Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services was also informed that 649 inhabited localities suffered power cutoff during the last 24 hours: in Odessa region – 151 inhabited localities, in Kherson region – 113, Mykolayiv region – 86, Crimea – 206, Dnipropetrovsk – 12, Donetsk – 34, Kirovohrad – 10, Zaporizhzhya – 22, Kyiv – 1, Cherkasy – 3, Chernivtsi – 5, Chernihiv – 6. The repair activities are being held.

As a result of harsh weather conditions the traffic to 192 inhabited localities has been restricted temporarily. During 24 hours it is planned to restore transport communication in these localities.

Overall, throughout the last 24 hours targeting cleaning up snow in the inhabited localities of Ukraine there have been used 5839 units of machinery and 40.2 thousand tons of sand-salt mixture.
