The Government has not given law enforcement agencies any additional orders on the use of force against violent protesters. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in an interview with BBC in Switzerland.

The Prime Minister stressed that there are instructions that provide minimal use of force and only against those protesters who use force, attacking police officers and commit riots.

Mykola Azarov said that force had not been used and would not be used against peaceful protesters.

"Instructions to law enforcement agencies are given simple: to avoid the use of force against peaceful demonstrators, to prevent taking by force of government buildings and institutions. And they used only the approved list of measures, including the use of tear gas if there is a threat to the life of law enforcement officers and use of sheets and more. That is the Cabinet did not give now no specific guidelines," Mykola Azarov emphasized.
