Prime Minister: Orphans need to be provided with housing and jobs as soon as possible

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed to resolve the issue of providing with housing and the first job of orphans and children deprived of parental care and those from among them as soon as possible, in particular by operation of social hostels and booking jobs. He said during the weekly meeting, which was chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine on January 20 at the building of the Government.

The issue of providing with housing these people was heard at the meeting. In particular, it was noted that there are more than 20 thousand people the line. And over the past year 850 orphans were provided with homes. It is in three times more than two years ago, but the rates are inadequate to solve the problem.

"If we decide such problem with the rate that we have, a child will become a grandfather by then before he will receive the flat - said Mykola Azarov. - We have to solve the problem in the near future."

Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul has been entrusted to develop a comprehensive program to address the issue of providing orphans with housing.

The ways to address the issue of providing orphans with housing in Lugansk and Odessa regions were discussed and it was decided to spread a positive experience for the whole Ukraine.
