Ukraine to present its agrarian production at one of the largest world exhibitions

One of the largest agricultural exhibitions Green Week 2014 begins on January 17, in Berlin, where Ukraine introduces its agricultural products. Thus, the national exhibition stand will be presented by leading national companies. According to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, such events provide an opportunity to show the achievements and potential of Ukraine as a leader in the global food market.

"Last year ended for the national agricultural sector by a number of achievements. It is a record grain harvest and its exports, an increase of value added production, an improvement of figures in livestock. The Government and the Agriculture Ministry have made best efforts. And such exhibitions provide an opportunity to demonstrate worldwide, what we have achieved. I’m very pleased that we have much to be proud of, "- said the Minister.

Mykola Prysyazhnyuk stressed that the exhibition has already helped national producers to establish business contacts for several years. "These events have long been proven their effectiveness as a real chance to find partners and to master markets abroad. And it is an opportunity for the country as a whole to show its capabilities and potential. So, it is important that, in addition to trade, there are a number of business meetings, seminars and meetings involving representatives of Ukraine during the exhibition," the Minister concluded.

Recall that the exhibition was attended by over 1,600 participants from nearly 70 countries in 2013. The guests of the event were 407 000 persons. Main areas of the exhibition are the food industry, cuisine, products for agriculture, forestry, gardening, hunting and fishing.
