By the decision of the Government humanitarian consignments will be exempt from payment for storage at customs

At the initiative of Ministry of Social Policy the Government abolishes fees for warehousing of customs of humanitarian aid that was supplied in transition, since December 2 2012. This was reported by Minister of Social Policy of Nataliay Korolevska. According to her, the relevant provision set by Cabinet of Ministers decree on Certain Issues of storage of goods (commodities) that recognized as humanitarian aid at the warehouses of bodies of income and fees approved on January 15.

"The Government on the proposal of the Ministry of Social Policy has approved the document that will allow solving the issue of import to Ukraine of humanitarian goods that are delayed in customs for non-payment for their warehousing. This question has been debated in society for the long time, and between the central authorities. We could find understanding and cancel fees for storage, from December 2, 2012 to the 11th day after the effective date of this order," said she.

Nataliay Korolevska recalled that powers in settlements of issues of humanitarian aid were transferred to the Ministry of Social Policy in 2013. In this regard, the procedure was changed the procedure of recognition of humanitarian aid - appropriate orders of the Ministry agrees with 7 central executive bodies, which can affect the timing of recognition of such goods. Meanwhile, Ministry of Social Policy is working to consignments of social institutions and organizations (hospitals, orphanages, regional centers) to be delivered to the recipients as soon as possible.

"In order to charitable organizations did not feel discomfort and have not to pay additional costs for storage at customs this decision was adopted," she said.
